The Accounting Analyst will be a key member of the General Accounting team, managing accounting controllership processes for the APAC region, adhering to US GAAP and local statutory reporting. This role involves handling month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and participate in audits and project testing, as well as other accounting duties. The role offers the opportunity to get involved in business expansion initiatives and strategic projects, within a dynamic, global environment.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • 3 years of accounting/finance experience.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good to have:
  • Chartered Accountant/ CPA is a plus.
  • Experience in data analytics tools and reporting a plus.

Position Summary: The Accounting Analyst will play an integral role in the General Accounting team. You will directly manage accounting controllership processes relating to US GAAP and local statutory reporting for the APAC region, and/or certain specialized accounting processes. You will be involved in working through issues and driving process improvements in collaboration with other finance and cross-functional team members. In addition, as Illumina continues to grow globally into new and existing markets, you will have the opportunity to participate in business expansion initiatives and other strategic projects. Position Responsibilities: Job duties include but are not limited to:-
  • Manage one or more functional accounting processes for the entities in the Asia Pacific region
  • Manage operational and month end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, analytical reviews and associated financial reporting for US GAAP and local statutory
  • Partner with teammates, global and cross-functional stakeholders to establish a cadence for reviews and collaboration
  • Identify, drive and/or participate in process improvement initiatives by applying analytical, communication, collaboration and problem solving skills
  • Participate in quarterly reviews, annual audits, and project testing for applicable areas of ownership
  • Perform other general accounting duties as designated from time to time, which may include but not limited to financial closing, reporting, analytical reviews and statutory audits.
  • Other duties/ projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting/Finance. Chartered Accountant/ CPA is a plus.
  • Accounting/finance experience in MNCs and/or Big 4 firms with proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • Resourceful, good organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to work with independently
  • Proven track record in driving projects and/or process improvement initiatives
  • Comfortable to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and oral) and interpersonal skills to work and collaborate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in data analytics tools and reporting a plus
