Get to know the role

  • Job Title: Accounting Associate
  • Job Summary: The accountant will prepare financial account reconciliation as it pertains to eCommerce, Automated Retail, and Consignment Sales. This individual will be expected to be a problem-solver and be proactive in their follow up and resolution to reconciliation and other issues identified in their processes.  
  • FLSA Classification (US Only): Exempt
  • People Manager: No

 

What you’ll do

  • Performs general revenue accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
  • Maintains the general ledger for key accounts.
  • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
  • Aids in reconciling bank accounts at least monthly.
  • Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.        
  • As appropriate, coordinates with other software vendors (Tableau, Fluent, CYBS, etc.) and recommends process improvements or raises pain points.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is a or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient with accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Strong ability to develop excel-based formulas (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, MATCH functions).

 

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $91,000.00 - $108,300.00 per year. The full range is $91,000.00 - $137,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
