The Opportunity
PwC is the leading practice in tax, assurance and advisory and offers a diverse range of services and therefore opportunities for newcomers to our organization.
Our Tax Reporting and Strategy (“TRS”) team provides Finance & Accounting outsourcing, Tax Compliance, Payroll Compliance and HR administration services, as well as conversion of data to local GAAP, tax accounting services, etc.
Joining as Accounting & Tax Compliance Manager, you can expect to be involved in a variety of interesting, challenging and diverse projects.That means you’ll need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues. You’ll also be collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines in order to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas.
What you will be doing:
As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Director in charge.
Be involved in the financial management of clients.
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients.
Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen.
Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges.
Assist in the management and delivering of large projects.
Train, coach, and supervise staff.
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues.
Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand.
What we need from you:
University degree.
5+ years of relevant work experience of accounting and tax compliance; ACCA - qualified or in progress is an advantage.
Strong accounting knowledge, particularly in local GAAP; IFRS is an advantage.
Very good knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards and tax legislation.
Prior supervisory experience.
Excellent project management and presentation skills.
Strong English language skills.
Computer skills, e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, accounting software (Dynamics 365 BC is a plus).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Highly adaptable and open to change.
