About the Role 

Reporting to the Director of Financial Operations, the Accounting Analyst will support accounting and operational needs of Peanuts Worldwide.  Working closely with the Director of Financial Operations and the Financial Systems Analyst, this role will be responsible for creating and maintaining various balance sheet account reconciliations and assist in migration and reconciliation of data between financial and contract management systems.   Working in partnership with the broader finance team, this role will assist and oversee various financial and business operation functions.  This role will also work in conjunction with the Wildbrain Corporate Finance group as related to the monthly close, internal control and external audit processes.

Job Description

  • Preparation of monthly account reconciliations of Accounts Receivable, Deferred Revenue and Unapplied Cash accounts along with other balance sheet accounts as necessary.
  • In partnership with Director of Financial Operations and Financial Systems analyst, manage migration of financial and contract data between contract management and financial systems in order to facilitate monthly accounting close.
  • Manage invoicing process for select licensee and vendor partners.
  • Review financial and contractual terms of contracts entered into contract management system for completeness and accuracy.
  • Oversee collections process in partnership with broader finance team, direct licensees and international agent partners.
  • Partner with broader Peanuts finance team, to fulfill ad hoc requests from WildBrain Corporate or Peanuts commercial or senior management teams.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in a Finance or Accounting role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail with dedication to accuracy and quality
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and requests
  • Team player who can also work pro-actively and independently in order to meet deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
  • Experience with Great Plains Dynamics, IBM Planning Analytics or similar accounting software. 
  • Familiarity with West End or other licensing software, an asset
