Our team of 8 colleagues helps financial organisations navigate regulatory complexity while strengthening trust and transparency in their business. Our clients cover industries within banking and capital markets, private equity, insurance, and consumer finance.
Michal Kudlík has been with PwC for seven years now, and during this time, he has progressed from an insurance mathematician to a managerial position in the audit department. In his team, you will always have support, as he himself has walked this path. Outside of work, Michal enjoys spending time with his family, and his major hobby is beekeeping.
This position is unique as it offers the opportunity to explore two fields: Actuary and Financial Audit. This dual exposure provides a broader perspective on the job market and potential career paths in either area. You’ll work alongside senior members of the client’s management team in planning the audit process from beginning to end, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and fair presentation of our client’s information. Your main responsibilities include:
Actuarial recalculation of technical reserves, reserve adequacy testing of actuarial procedures and methods for the purposes of financial audits/reviews of insurance and pension companies in Czech market or in broather region.
Audit procedures and financial statements review of financial institutions (such as banks, insurance and pension companies, etc.).
Evaluation of capital requirements under Solvency II standard formula and/or internal model.
Other actuarial projects
Actuarial support for due diligence projects and actuarial reporting.
Insurance and pension portfolio analyses and participation in pricing projects.
University degree in actuarial mathematics (or in mathematics or in statistics).
Actuarial experience is an advantage but the position is suitable also for graduates.
Fluency in Czech/Slovak, very good knowledge of English is a must and knowledge of German is a great advantage.
Business orientation, client approach.
Strong analytical thinking.
Experience with work in Excel,
Experience with Visual basic, SQL and any of actuarial modelling tools (Prophet, Moses, etc) is an advantage.
