Team Introduction The Security Engineering team is a research and development (R&D) team that operates within the broader Security and Risk Control Organization. Their core responsibility is to construct, implement, and sustain secure infrastructures, platforms, and technologies. In addition, they provide support to cross-functional teams within the organization. The team's ultimate objective is to serve and safeguard TikTok products and infrastructures on a global scale. Responsibilities: 1. Conduct in-depth research on AI-specific security threats, including adversarial attacks, model tampering, and data privacy issues. 2. Develop and implement strategies to detect and mitigate AI security vulnerabilities in various domains, such as natural language processing, computer vision, and other machine learning areas. 3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI security measures into existing and new products. 4. Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI security, attending conferences and engaging with the broader research community.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications 1. 5+ years of experience in AI/machine learning, with a strong focus on security aspects. 2. Demonstrated experience in conducting AI security research with published papers or presentations in recognized forums. 3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. 4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively about complex challenges. Preferred Qualifications 1. Ph.D. degree (or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, AI, or related fields. 2. Hands-on experience in developing and deploying secure AI systems in a real-world setting. 3. Prior experience in industry or academic settings, working on large-scale AI projects and research. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $210000 - $358000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
