Job Description

This evergreen position is for a Simulation Technician 1, responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and correcting issues on simulators and associated systems. The role involves using a maintenance management system, completing training, performing pre/post-flight tasks, visual alignments, and QTG execution. It also includes assisting with hardware modifications, ensuring compliance with CAE's quality system, providing customer support, and handling administrative duties. Simulation Technician 1

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and their associated systems.
  • Perform diagnosis and correction of problems in simulators and associated systems.
  • Use the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
  • Complete all designated training activities.
  • Perform pre- and post-flight tasks on designated simulators.
  • Perform basic visual alignments.
  • Execute the automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
  • Assist with hardware renovation and modifications.
  • Learn and comply with CAE's quality management system.
  • Provide customer assistance and address their needs in a timely manner.
  • Perform maintenance tasks to preserve simulators as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed.
  • Perform support tasks for the technical services group as needed.

Requirements:

  • Technical Degree in Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering or a field related to aviation and technology.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
  • Intermediate English level.
