Job Description

As an Analog Design Engineer at Marvell, you'll design multi-GHz analog or DSP-based transceivers in advanced CMOS nodes (3nm+). Responsibilities include analyzing block specifications, selecting design topologies, designing analog circuit blocks at the transistor level, supervising layout, conducting post-layout verifications, modeling circuit blocks, validating model performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role involves working on high-speed optical transceivers for communication infrastructures (long-haul, metro, datacenter applications), contributing to innovations supporting major social media and streaming services.
Must have:
  • Master's/PhD in EE
  • Analog design experience (multi-GHz)
  • Proficiency in EDA CAD tools
  • IC performance measurement & debugging
Good to have:
  • Multi-Gbps SerDes/electro-optical transceivers
  • Experience with advanced CMOS nodes (FinFET)

The Central Engineering - Optical PHY (CE-OPHY) team focuses on designing high-speed and optical transceivers for communication infrastructures, including long-haul, metro, and datacenter applications. What You Can Expect

As an Analog Design Engineer, you’ll be critical in developing multi-GHz analog or DSP-based transceivers in advanced CMOS nodes (3 nm and beyond). Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing block specifications and selecting appropriate design topologies
  • Designing analog circuit blocks at the transistor level.
  • Supervising layout activities, providing guidance, and conducting post-layout verifications.
  • Modeling circuit blocks and validating model performance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine and optimize solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in analog design, ideally in the multi-GHz frequency range
  • Proficiency in EDA CAD tools for design and simulation.
  • Skilled in IC performance measurement and debugging, with the ability to align simulations with measurements.
  • Experience in any of the following areas is a plus.
  • Multi-Gbps electrical SerDes or electro-optical transceivers.
  • Advanced CMOS nodes, including FinFET.
