Job Description

The Central Engineering – Optical PHY (CE-OPHY) team at Marvell designs high-speed and optical transceivers for communication infrastructure. As an Analog Design Senior Engineer, you will design high-speed analog circuits for optical transceivers, analyze specifications, and select appropriate circuit topologies. You will develop transistor-level analog designs, supervise layout activities, model and validate circuit blocks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role involves contributing to advanced chips and subsystem solutions for higher data rates, driving innovation in the industry.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Master’s/PhD
  • Experience with EDA CAD tools for circuit design
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
Good to have:
  • Experience in Multi-Gbps electrical SerDes or electro-optical transceivers
  • Experience with advanced CMOS nodes, including FinFET technology

The Central Engineering – Optical PHY (CE-OPHY) team designs high-speed and optical transceivers for communication infrastructure in long-haul, metro, and datacenter applications. Our team tackles bandwidth, capacity, and power challenges faced by cloud computing and mega data centers that power the world’s leading social media platforms and digital services.Our innovative approach has led to first-to-market solutions in many key areas, driving the development of advanced chips and subsystem solutions to meet the growing demand for higher data rates, fueled by video-on-demand, gaming, and real-time data streaming.

What You Can Expect

- Design high-speed analog circuits for optical transceivers in advanced CMOS nodes.

- Analyze block specifications and select appropriate circuit topologies.

- Develop transistor-level analog designs and ensure optimal performance.

Supervise layout activities, provide layout guidelines, and conduct post-layout verifications.

- Model and validate circuit blocks to ensure system-level functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance existing solutions and contribute to future-generation products.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role you must:
- Have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and have 1-3 years of related professional experience OR a Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
- You must be willing to learn additional aspects of Analog Design from your peers and be willing to share your knowledge with others as well. This team collaborates a great deal.
- You must have some experience with EDA CAD tools for circuit design and simulation.

- Direct project experience in at least one of the following areas is a plus: Multi-Gbps electrical SerDes or electro-optical transceivers. Advanced CMOS nodes, including FinFET technology.

- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

- Passion for innovation and solving complex engineering challenges
