YouTube's Trust & Safety team seeks an Analyst to enforce YouTube Partner Program (YPP) policies. The role involves reviewing content (potentially graphic or offensive), liaising with policy developers to create and refine policies, managing escalations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include understanding policy impacts, reviewing daily content aligning with YPP guidelines, and developing processes to protect against emerging threats. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in policy enforcement or related fields, and the ability to handle sensitive situations and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various levels.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, or related fields
  • Ability to work non-standard hours

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Education in, or experience with, Machine Learning (ML).
  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).
  • Experience in driving large, cross-functional projects
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.

As a Policy Enforcement Manager (PEM) dedicated to the YouTube Partner Program on YouTube's Trust and Safety team, you will help to implement and enforce YouTube Partner Program (YPP) policies across millions of channels. The role will require working cross-functionally across Scaled Abuse, Ads Policy, Monetization, Product, and Policy Development to develop and operationalize policies that minimize brand risk to the platform and are scalable and clearly communicated to creators. The role requires thinking through the unique challenges of a broad array of policy areas (e.g, Hate, Misinformation, Adult) while developing processes and guidelines that are consistent and resilient. This role will review graphic, controversial, and offensive video content in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,500-$132,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Understand how YouTube Partner Program (YPP) policies impact YouTube users, platform changes and new product launches. 
  • Review daily content in line with YouTube's YPP policies. This may include exposure to graphic, controversial and sometimes offensive content.
  • Liaise with Policy Developers to develop new policies and iterate on existing policies, and enforce guidelines to protect against emerging threats and improve creator education.
  • Manage sensitive escalations, partner with key cross-functional and executive stakeholders to drive solutions.
