Our Data Analytics team is the central hub for Egnyte’s data infrastructure and enables the business by providing data in multiple forms. The Analytics Engineering sub-team keeps its prime focus on the data itself but does so while employing software engineering standards (CI/CD, code reviews, version control, etc.) and best practices to maintain a high quality of delivered solutions.

You will help us model Egnyte’s data into our Semantic Layer, redistribute the data via reverse ETL processes, maintain our data at a high quality, and provide technical guidance to analysts and business users. As an Analytics Engineer, you will work closely with Data Analysts, playing a pivotal role in providing reliable, high-quality, and valuable data resources. You will also ensure these assets are updated and adapted as business requirements evolve. We seek someone passionate about structuring data into reusable, maintainable solutions who can bring enthusiasm to help us expand this function at Egnyte.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Design, build, and validate data transformation pipelines to create data models
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the semantic layer architecture in dbt, ensuring accurate and efficient data modeling that supports business intelligence, insights, and analytical needs
  • Collaborate across departments to apply our data strategy and corporate-wide data definitions that meet the demands of our fast-growing business
  • Take responsibility for delivering new data assets and enhancing the quality and functionality of existing ones
  • Promote the importance of upholding high-quality, easily maintainable data assets by following best practices and standards via internal code & data reviews
  • Oversee and refine our CI/CD process to streamline the automated deployment of high-quality code
  • Develop test cases to guarantee the continuous delivery of accurate and reliable data, safeguarding it from future changes.
  • Document our data models, logic, and the raw data itself
  • Monitor our data and solve data quality issues

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You have a deep understanding of dbt (cloud or core) and can develop data models and create and maintain dbt architecture
  • You possess extensive experience in SQL, both data definition and data manipulation
  • You have experience with data tools and platforms, including BigQuery
  • You have experience with Python tools used in data engineering
  • You have expertise in understanding business strategy and metrics
  • You have more than 3 years of experience in data-related roles such as data engineering or data analytics
  • You have experience with test automation tools that ensure confident, reliable delivery
  • You are proficient with Git
  • You have experience collaborating in an Agile team environment, consistently delivering incremental value each sprint
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You are familiar with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform to automate cloud resources.
  • You have been exposed to data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to transform data into insights

BENEFITS:

  • Attractive salary package based on skillset.
  • Company equity depending on role and level.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Great office space overlooking Lake Malta. We enjoy working there. We know how to effectively work in a hybrid model.
  • Your own Egnyte account with lifetime access to 50 TB of cloud storage.
  • MyBenefit: you can choose a MultiSport card or gift cards every month.
  • Private medical healthcare.
