Job Description

This Senior Android FW Developer role involves integrating a Valeo-developed AR game into a third-party IVI platform. Responsibilities include SW development and integration, problem-solving, proposing innovative solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to a collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in embedded Android development (Native and Java), familiarity with Android architecture components (Startup, Zygote, System Server, etc.), and experience with Android SDK, NDK, JNI, HAL, and HIDL. Knowledge of Android Application Framework and Design Patterns (MVP, MVVM), Android Automotive, and tools like Jira, Agile, Gerrit, and Confluence is crucial. The role requires independent work, excellent communication, and proactive problem-solving skills. Unity and C# knowledge is a plus.

Must have:

SW development experience
Solid Android Platform Architecture understanding
Embedded Android development (Native & Java)
Android SDK, NDK, JNI, HAL, HIDL experience
Android Application Framework & Design Patterns
Android Automotive Experience
Jira, Agile, Gerrit, Confluence proficiency

Good to have:

Unity knowledge
C# knowledge

Project description

Integration of Valeo developed AR game into the IVI platform supplied by 3rd party

Responsibilities

Develops and integrates SW

Contributes to a work environment where people are actively sharing and discussing various ideas.

Investigates and solves complicated problems which requires comprehensive analysis.

Proposes solutions that require Innovation/Development of new procedures, techniques, and methods.

Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders on different levels.

Acts consciously towards long-term goals and according to plans.

Identifies challenges beyond the immediate tasks.

Actively seeks improvements and acts pro-actively to help the team in its everyday work.

Skills

Must have

SW development background and years of first-hand experience .

Very solid understanding of Android Platform Architecture.

Knowledge of Android procedures such as Startup, Zygote, System Server, System UI, SurfaceFlinger, etc.

Multiple years of experience in embedded Android development (Native and Java)

Experience in Android development projects for mobile or other devices (OS Porting/Bring-Up)

Experience of Android SDK, NDK, JNI, HAL, HIDL.

Understanding of Android Application Framework and Design Patterns (MVP, MVVM).

Android Automotive Experience

Proven experience of the tools usage: Jira, Agile, Gerrit, Confluence, Linux, Android Studio

Ability to work independently. Excellent Communication skills & Fluent in English.

Knowledge of Software Planning Methods and the ability to use them effectively.

Nice to have

Unity know how would be a plus

C# know how would be a plus
