Job Description

As an Android Software Engineer at Waze, you'll design, develop, and test features for the Waze Android app. Collaboration with engineers, designers, and product managers is key. You'll need to stay current on the latest Android technologies and contribute to Waze's overall product success. Responsibilities include coding in Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose, and C++. The role requires experience in Android application and framework development, data structures, and algorithms, with a strong foundation in Kotlin or Java.

Must have:

Android app development experience
Kotlin or Java proficiency
Data structures and algorithms knowledge
Collaboration with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of Android framework

Good to have:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science
Jetpack Compose experience
C++ experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in Kotlin or Java programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Experience with Android application and framework development.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
