Job Description

Lead a team of Angular and Java developers in building and enhancing the front-end for a mortgage pricing system. Responsibilities include leading development, applying Angular/HTML5/UI expertise, working within existing architecture and coding standards, following agile processes, and ensuring on-time delivery. The role requires proven experience building real-time UIs in financial services and working with virtual and in-person teams. The team will collaborate with a US-based team on transformation projects across development, UAT, and production environments.

Must have:

8+ years UI dev exp. in financial services
3+ years Angular development
Kafka, SQL, Elastic Search knowledge
GIT, CI/CD familiarity
Agile experience
Real-time UI building exp.
Work with virtual/in-person teams

Good to have:

Mortgage, bond trading, risk, or price capture system familiarity

Project description

We're looking for a talented and passionate Developer to join our Mortgage Pricing team. The successful candidate will help drive transformation projects of our environment across Development / UAT and Production. Our plan is to build a small team of 2 Angular and 2 Java developers in Canada that will collaborate with US-based team

Responsibilities

Lead the team of 1 Angular and 2 Java developers

Develop and enhance functionality in the Risk and Pricing front end.

Apply subject matter expertise in Angular/HTML5/UI principles to design and implement solutions according to requirements and specifications given by business analysts.

Work within existing architecture, coding standards and tool sets in order to deliver software that is supportable across the global team.

Follow the team's agile processes and take responsibility for delivery of tasks on schedule.

Skills

Must have

8+ years of experience in UI development for large scale projects for financial services.

3+ years of experience in developing solutions using the Angular framework.

Able to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline.

Knowledge of Kafka, SQL, Elastic Search or similar cache.

Very familiar with GIT and CI/CD tools.

Familiar with event driven architectures and the use of micro-services.

Has worked in an Agile development process.

Proven track record of building real time user interfaces in a Financial Services context.

Nice to have

Familiarity with mortgages, bond trading, risk, or price capture systems
