Spatial's Animal Company team seeks a Unity 3D Gameplay Engineer to implement new gameplay mechanics, user interfaces, and optimizations. Responsibilities include developing new game modes, monsters, and items; testing and optimizing graphics and CPU performance; fixing bugs; implementing systems like player moderation and asset loading; and creating gameplay for monthly events. Close collaboration with artists is required to integrate new content. The role involves proficiency in Unity, C#, or C++, and a strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns.
Good To Have:- Understanding of modern graphics, shaders
- Experience with XR and web/mobile games using Unity
- Experience with 3D modeling tools
- Multiplayer experience (Photon or similar)
- Knowledge of VR Games ecosystem
Must Have:- Proficient in Unity, C#, or C++
- Unity Engine & Editor scripting API knowledge
- Knowledge of materials, prefabs, animation in Unity
- Strong knowledge of OOP, 3D Vector math
