About the engagement:
The Appian Developer, will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level Appian applications in the Australian Market Place. The Appian Developer will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs or business requirements.


Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and design Appian applications to meet those requirements.
  • Work with Appian object types, query rules, constant rules and expression rules.
  • Guide Appian developers within a delivery team ensuring proper implementations of best designs, testing and deployment practices are followed.
  • Analyse, design and develop, process models, records, reports, SAIL interfaces, queries, forms, gateways, smart services, integration services and web services.
  • Developing and testing Appian applications in accordance with established development standards.
  • Supporting testing and deployment activities.
  • Leverage knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns to write applications and solutions in existing Appian frameworks (SAIL, Process Models, Rules, Expressions, and all Appian Objects) and light full-stack and mobile development.
  • Leverage relevant Application development experience to radiate best practices and faster development.
  • Manage availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of the product by engineering reliability into Application and systems.
  • Perform application and code reviews which provide feedback on design and implementation.
  • Build automation fixes to prevent recurring issues.

Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience designing and developing Appian applications or other relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the Appian platform, including Appian design patterns and best practices
  • Proficiency in Appian SAIL, Process Modeler, and Rules.
  • Experience with Appian integrations using web services, JDBC, and REST APIs is a plus
  • Knowledge in developing different types of records and reports.
  • Good understanding of database concepts and strong working knowledge on any one of the major databases such as Oracle SQL, Server MySQL.
  • Previous consulting or client service delivery experience.
  • Experience with software architecture and SOA services implementation.
  • Proven work experience in Appian 18+ Versions.
  • Knowledge of Cucumber, Java, and SQL.
  • Experience in agile/scrum development methodology using JIRA and Confluence.
