The Application Engineer II SCBU will contribute to the support of software products, focusing on the Semiconductor simulation software suite. Responsibilities include collaborating with a team, executing customer support, responding to questions, and triaging product defects. The role involves writing descriptions for product enhancements and assisting with evaluations and demonstrations. Must have:
  • Experience with IC/ASIC design flow from RTL to GDSII.
  • Experience with semiconductor and systems design including Digital, Analog, Mixed-Signal and RF.
  • Experience with simulation methodologies including benchmarks and modeling.
  • Experience with Python and Tcl programming.

SUMMARY
ANSYS, Inc. seeks Application Engineer II SCBU to work in Canonsburg, PA and various unanticipated locations

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Contribute to the support of software products and supporting systems, with a focus on the Semiconductor simulation software suite. 
•    Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to accomplish customer support objectives.
•    Execute customer support in Semiconductor simulation software and respond to customer questions on tool functionality. 
•    Triage complaints about product defects and determine root cause for the research and development team. 
•    Write clear descriptions of product enhancement requests for our Semiconductor simulation software products. Assist with product evaluations, benchmarks, and demonstrations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•    Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study. 
•    Work experience or academic coursework must have included: 
•    Experience with IC/ASIC design flow from RTL to GDSII; 
•    Experience with semiconductor and systems design including Digital, Analog, Mixed-Signal and RF; 
•    Experience with simulation methodologies including, running simulation benchmarks, modeling and simulation of engineered products and processes; 
•    Experience with Python and Tcl programming. 
•    Additional information: This is a telecommute work at home opportunity. The applicant must be willing to reside within a reasonable commuting distance to an ANSYS office within the United States to work in the office at least one day per week.
