Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working with Java.
- Experience with computer programming.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field.
- Experience implementing, customizing, and integrating third-party applications within Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Marketing, etc.
- Experience with multiple full system implementation life cycles (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).
- Excellent people, communication, and analytical skills with a demonstrable bias toward action.
About the job
You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.Our development team works on a mix of third-party and Google built systems to efficiently move equipment into and out of Google's compute and networking sites across the globe.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and run systems that automate Alphabet’s supply chain.
- Integrate our systems with Alphabet’s internal systems and third-party logistics providers outside of Alphabet.
- Collaborate with developers, logistics operations leads and business systems analysts across Google.
- Identify opportunities for improving engineering productivity and explore the applicability of emerging technology to the logistics execution space.
