THE CHALLENGE

Ready to make an impact on the security of products from the ground up? Join our Product Security team, where you'll partner with development and game teams to weave security into every phase of the software and game lifecycle. You’ll tackle the challenge of applying shift-left strategies to proactively mitigate risks, close security gaps early, and ensure compliance. Dive into security assessments, code reviews, and help shape product security standards while guiding secure infrastructure across cloud, containers, and beyond. Our team actively conducts penetration testing and red team exercises, to uncover vulnerabilities and strengthen our security posture. The goal is to empower teams to build secure products by design, making security an integral part of the development process.

WHAT YOU’LL TAKE ON

  • Create, update, and maintain threat models for a variety of application and game projects to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Lead the design and implementation of secure product architectures and frameworks, while conducting reviews of multi-cloud infrastructure and containerized applications to ensure robust security.
  • Conduct thorough product design and architecture reviews, perform security assessments, and identify the most effective controls to protect our products.
  • Develop and define product security policies, standards, and procedures that serve as guardrails for product teams, ensuring consistent and effective security practices across all products.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to efficiently implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate on product security roadmaps for development and game teams, conducting security maturity assessments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and guide developers on secure coding practices and security design patterns.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging security trends, threats, and technology solutions to proactively address potential risks.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of demonstrated experience in application security, ideally within the gaming or technology sectors.
  • Validated expertise in security architecture, risk management, cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and securing CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and secure software delivery
  • Extensive knowledge of common and complex security vulnerabilities, along with effective mitigation techniques.
  • Ability to translate design documents into security-focused guidelines and requirements for product development.
  • Adapt quickly to new technologies, languages, and solve challenges outside your expertise.
  • Travel: No routine travel required; occasional travel as needed.

The pay range for this position in British Columbia, Canada at the start of employment is expected to be between 155,000 and 165,000 CAD per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
