Junior AR Billing Specialist

Keywords Studios is a leading global service provider to the video games industry. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely billing to our diverse client base across the globe, contributing directly to our revenue cycle management within the fast-paced and exciting world of video game development.

The Junior AR Billing Specialist will be part of the central, multilingual Shared Services Accounting team based in Milan, supporting global subsidiaries. The role involves regular interaction with different departments such as Sales and Project Management across various countries, requiring strong communication skills and adaptability.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and issuance of accurate client invoices based on project milestones and contractual terms.
• Assist in reviewing billing data to ensure completeness and accuracy; flag discrepancies and collaborate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Help generate and distribute billing statements, reports, and related financial documents.
• Record billing activities such as invoices, payments, and adjustments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide first-line support for client billing inquiries, ensuring professional and prompt responses.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., project management, sales, production) to facilitate billing operations and resolve issues.
• Contribute to month-end closing activities related to billing and accounts receivable.
• Participate in initiatives to improve billing processes and increase operational efficiency.
• Support ad-hoc tasks and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience in billing, finance, or administrative roles; internship experience is also considered.
• Basic understanding of billing processes and general accounting principles.
• Familiarity with accounting software; prior exposure to Oracle NetSuite is an advantage.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfortable working with data and spreadsheets.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
