About the job
Sabre Systems is actively looking for a AR/VR Developer to support our Navy customer in Dahlgren, VA. As an AR/VR Developer, the individual will be developing AR and VR environments and systems using the latest AR/VR headsets. Software developer will leverage 3D scanning systems to create realistic 3D models of real world objects. Tasking requires that the developer utilize the Unity or Unreal gaming engine, along with C# and Python to develop AR/VR environments. Tasking will also include integrating sensor outputs, other software applications, and AI/ML algorithms into AR/VR environments.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and Two (2) years professional experience which includes Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality coding and game design. Knowledge of Unity or Unreal game engine, C3, and experience in 3D model creation pipeline, lighting, texturing and shader development.
- In addition, the following experience is desired Interactive Game Development to include programming and/or architecture design, artificial intelligence programming, and art or graphics background.
- Familiar with parsing of binary packages over the network or raw input files using defined format descriptions.
- Knowledge of inter-process communications (networking, named pipes, memory mapped files).
- Ability to integrate with external plugins and libraries.
- Knowledge of video encoding, decoding and streaming through FFMPEG/VLC/GSTREAMER.
- Familiar with Git workflows.
- An active DoD Secret Clearance or higher is required
- Candidate is required to pass a background investigation
- Must be a US Citizen
