Pace is seeking an Art Director to join the team! The Art Director serves as a contributor and ideator for all creative assets produced for marketing-driven projects, campaigns and/or ongoing programs. You must be able to use a combination of talent and skill to shape high-quality assets (amazing ideas that are expertly crafted to simply and effectively communicate the intended creative message). The Art Director reports to the Associate Creative Director.


This position is remote or hybrid eligible. Remote candidates must reside in one of the following states: North Carolina, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont. Employees that reside in or around Greensboro, NC will be required to come into the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Assist in content creation for print, digital and social spaces
  • Create original content to adhere to client’s brand - understand the brand guidelines for assigned work
  • Active participation in brainstorming and ideation
  • Art direction support for illustrations, photo shoots and video shoots, for both external and in-house productions
  • Create slides as part of larger presentation decks
  • Strong collaboration with all team members involved

WHAT WE’D LIKE TO SEE:

Education:

  • BFA in Graphic Design or related degree
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of educational degree

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in a design related field; agency experience preferred
  • Proficient in: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator,
  • Working knowledge of: After Effects, PowerPoint, Figma

Skills:

  • Be excited about your work and know how to spread that enthusiasm
  • Translate ideas into content for motion, video, and still creative assets
  • Able to demonstrate and articulate the understanding of layout, typography and visual hierarchy
  • Experience creating in print, digital and social spaces
  • Must be skilled and confident presenting creative work internally and be able to present “the strategic why” behind the creative and articulate the solve
  • Create audience-centric assets, inclusive of articles, graphics, infographics, video scripts, social media content, etc.) for all channels - print, digital (mobile first) and social
  • Open to feedback but knows how and when to defend design choices
  • Self-manage time and meet expected deadlines, as well as complete work within the hours allocated

  • The salary for this position will range from $47,500 - $60,800 depending on experience, education, geographical location, and other factors.
