Job Description

Hong Kong Disneyland seeks a full-time Artist/Painter to perform surface preparation (rust removal, cleaning, repair, sanding), paint mixing and application on various materials (attractions, sets, figures, vehicles, props, characters). The role involves participation in large-scale paint projects, daily maintenance, inspections, and workspace housekeeping. Reporting to a supervisor, timely progress updates are crucial. At least 2 years of relevant experience is needed, plus a certificate in Design/Visual Arts/Fine Art or equivalent. Shift and height work are required. Strong artistic passion, interpersonal skills, responsibility, independent and flexible work style are essential. Experience in color matching, brush/roll/spray painting, and decorative/automotive painting is advantageous.

Must have:

Surface prep (rust removal, cleaning, repair)
Paint mixing and application on various materials
Large-scale project participation & daily maintenance
2+ years relevant experience
Certificate in Design/Visual Arts/Fine Art or equivalent

Good to have:

Color matching
Brush, roll, spray painting
Decorative/automotive painting experience

Responsibilities:

Carry out surface (including rust removal, cleaning, spot repair, putty work & sanding etc), paint mixing & application on various materials in the Attractions ride areas, show sets, figures, ride vehicles, props or Disney characters.
Participate in large scale overhaul paint projects, daily maintenance and inspection work on the mentioned areas
Workspace housekeeping, record & report work progress timely to supervisor

Basic Qualifications:

Certificate in Design/ Visual Arts/ Fine Art OR recognized apprenticeship in painting OR equivalent
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Shift duties are required
Working at height is required
Self-motivated, demonstrated passion in arts & painting, good interpersonal and communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to work independently and flexibly.
