Le rĂ´le

L’Artiste Concept Senior sera responsable de la création des arts conceptuels pour notre jeu AAA. En nous rejoignant en début de production, Cet/cette artiste aura l’opportunité de nous aider à définir l’identité visuelle du jeu.

L’Artiste Concept Senior travaillera en étroite collaboration avec l’Artiste Concept Principal et le Directeur Artistique, au développement des visuels de l’environnement du jeu ainsi que ceux des personnages. Une expertise en art sera nécessaire pour traduire la direction artistique du jeu en arts conceptuels de haute qualité.

Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) comprendra que les meilleurs jeux sont faits par d’excellentes équipes et par conséquent fera preuve d’une aptitude naturelle à collaborer et aura un impact positif sur notre environnement de travail.

 

Responsabilités

 

  • Collaborer avec l’Artiste Concept Principal et le Directeur Artistique Ă  la crĂ©ation d’environnements, de personnages, d’accessoires et d’effets spĂ©ciaux.
  • RĂ©viser le travail des autres artistes conceptuels et donner de façon proactive un retour d’information constructif.
  • Travaillez en Ă©troite collaboration avec les Artistes et Designers de niveaux ainsi qu’avec les artistes 3D dans l’objectif d’offrir des visuels de haute qualitĂ© pour le jeu.
  • Contribuer Ă  la performance et Ă  la croissance de vos Ă©quipes en partageant vos connaissances.
  • Mentorer, au besoin, des collègues moins expĂ©rimentĂ©s en offrant votre aide et votre soutien.

 

Qualifications requises

 

  • 8 ans d’expĂ©rience dans le domaine de l’art des jeux vidĂ©o, en particulier pour les jeux AAA.
  • ExpĂ©rience de travail en collaboration directe avec le Directeur Artistique.
  • Excellentes compĂ©tences en dessin et maĂ®trise des compĂ©tences artistiques de base telles que la composition, la thĂ©orie des couleurs, la perspective et l’éclairage.
  • Avoir une imagination vive et variĂ©e.
  • Grande comprĂ©hension des principes artistiques tels que le mouvement, l’équilibre et la proportion.
  • Bonne connaissance et expĂ©rience dans le dĂ©veloppement de l’architecture et des personnages.
  • MaĂ®trise de Photoshop Ă  un niveau supĂ©rieur.
  • Les compĂ©tences en art 3D et la capacitĂ© de crĂ©er des ressources Ă  l’aide de Blender, Maya, Substance ou Zbrush sont un plus.
  • La comprĂ©hension des phases de production de jeux vidĂ©o est un plus.

About the role:

 

The Senior Concept Artist will be responsible for creating concept arts for a AAA game. Joining us in the early stages of production, they will have the opportunity to help us define the game's visual identity. 

They will work closely with the project's Principal Concept Artist, as well as our Art Director, to develop the game's world and characters visuals. Their expertise in art will be necessary to translate the game's art direction into best-in-class concept arts. 

The ideal candidate will understand that great games are made by great teams, and they will be expected to demonstrate a highly collaborative attitude that positively impact our work environment.  

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Principal Concept Artist and the Art Director to establish and create environments, characters, props and special effects. 
  • Review other concept artists work and proactively give constructive feedback. 
  • Work closely with level artists, level designers and 3D artists to deliver stunning in-game visuals. 
  • Contribute to your teams' performance and growth by spontaneously sharing knowledge and best practices. 
  • Mentor, when needed, less experienced co-workers by offering your help and support. 

 

Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience working in video game art, specifically for AAA  games. 
  • Experience interacting with Art Director. 
  • Excellent drawing skills and mastery of core artistic skills such as composition, color theory, perspective and lighting.  
  • Have a vivid and varied imagination.
  • Great understanding of artistic principles such as movement, balance and proportion. 
  • Good knowledge and experience developing architecture and characters. 
  • Mastery of Photoshop to a superior level. 
  • 3D art skills and ability to create assets using Blender, Maya, Substance or Zbrush is a plus. 
  • Understanding of video game production phases is a plus.
