Job Description

Performs activities necessary for the efficient manufacture and delivery of Nordson products. The requirement is to have a flexible workforce that can respond appropriately to changing customer requirements. Duties will involve a variety of tasks including: Assembly of products, testing and troubleshooting, use of hand tools, gauges, test equipment, and power lift equipment. Parts preparation, labeling, movement, and tracking, working from schematics and blueprints, inspection and quality tracking, and adherence to safety and production procedures are essential. The role also involves offering enhancement ideas and ensuring timely arrival and availability for overtime when needed.

Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assembly of products
  • Testing and troubleshooting
  • Use of miscellaneous hand tools, gauges, test equipment and power lift equipment
  • Parts preparation, labeling, movement and tracking
  • Work from schematics, blueprints and other documents
  • Inspection and quality tracking and reporting
  • Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
  • Conformance to production and administrative procedures
  • Offer enhancement ideas to existing process
  • Reliability – on time arrival departures; open to consider overtime when the business requests this.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Due to the variety of tasks noted above, and in support of continuous improvement, skill requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • TECHNICAL ABILITY - effectively apply written/verbal instructions from procedures, documents, blueprints/schematics, etc.  Apply math skills appropriate for the assigned task.

Manufacturing environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This job will require extended periods of standing or sitting as required.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs comfortably.
