Job Description

The Assembler I is responsible for assembling finished products according to customer specifications, ensuring the correct parts and supplies are available. Key duties include setting up the work area, assembling parts according to instructions and quality standards, and operating hand tools. The role involves stacking and labeling finished products, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and conducting equipment inspections. Maintaining production records and ensuring materials meet standards are also essential. The Assembler I participates in safety and improvement programs and performs other assigned duties. The role requires following safety and quality procedures. The job involves assembling and manufacturing of products.
Must have:
  • Fabricate component parts or assemble finished products.
  • Secure and maintain correct component parts and supplies.
  • Operate hand tools for assembly.
  • Ensure work area is safe, clean, and organized.
Good to have:
  • 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic math.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Hourly Pay Range: $15-$18.50 per hour dependent on experience

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
