Pentair is seeking an Assembly Operator for its manufacturing facility. This role involves assembling components, testing, and packaging products according to specifications. The operator will follow instructions, maintain a clean work area, and contribute to production improvements. The position requires flexibility to work in various assembly cells, strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach. Training is provided, and prior assembly experience is preferred but not required. The role also involves physical tasks like lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must have:
  • Assembling all components, per bill of material
  • Testing the assembly to documented specifications
  • Properly packaging the product
  • Follow instructions and properly build product within a reasonable amount of time
  • Carry the flexibility to work within other assembly cells
  • Support and promote 5S in the work place
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Willingly contribute in the development of better methods and increased daily output of production
  • Exhibit a friendly, approachable demeanor with proficient communication skills
  • Offer ideas and suggestions for improving our Safety and Health (AWAIR) programs
  • Exhibit problem-solving skills and is customer focused
  • Perform all other duties that are asked by management

Job Description:

Pentair is looking for an Assembly Operator to join our team at our manufacturing facility in New Brighton, MN.

Our sites are temperature controlled, creating a comfortable work environment - especially during the hot summer months and cold winters. Assembly experience is not required; we will train on the job. Pentair offers a comprehensive benefit package to all our employees, including 11 paid holidays and 2 weeks of paid vacation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • An assembler is responsible for assembling all components, per bill of material, testing the assembly to documented specifications and properly packaging the product.
  • Follow instructions and properly build product within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Carry the flexibility to work within other assembly cells.
  • Support and promote 5S in the work place
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Willingly contributes in the development of better methods and increased daily output of production.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior assembly experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English in a professional manner with peers and internal/external customers.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must have manual dexterity.
  • Must have the ability to learn Pentair’s products and basic product structures.
  • Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to use time efficiently and effectively with little supervision.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting and lowering weights up to 50 pounds.
