Assistant Body Actor, Remote

A vital component of our business is creating multiple unique stories every week in order to keep our audience engaged.

Position Overview:
CatFace is seeking a skilled and adaptable Assistant Remote Body Actor to support lead actors in performance capture within virtual gaming environments. This role focuses on body acting for side characters in scenes, assisting with commands, and ensuring smooth execution of in-game mechanics. Your facial features and voice will not appear in the final product; rather, your movement, timing, and execution of character actions will help bring the performance to life.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong improvisational skills, a passion for gaming, and an understanding of character movement within digital spaces. Each session presents a new challenge as different characters and scenarios require unique performances.

What You'll Do

• Assist lead actors by body acting as side characters in scenes.
• Execute in-game commands, mechanics, and interactions to enhance performance quality.
• Maintain consistency with character mannerisms, styles, and behaviors within the game environment.
• Support the overall cinematic vision by ensuring characters move and react naturally within scenes.
• Utilize in-game tools and techniques to execute precise movements and actions.
• Collaborate closely with lead actors, directors, and other production team members to achieve high-quality performances.
• Adapt to different characters and scenarios as required per project.
• Accept and apply feedback to refine performance consistency and character accuracy.

What We're Looking For

• Strong improvisation and acting skills with the ability to embody a variety of characters.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
• Self-motivated and proactive in assisting with scene execution.
• Ability to adapt performances to align with brand-specific character guidelines.
• Proficiency in video games such as Minecraft and Roblox.
• Experience in character performance, particularly within virtual gaming environments, is a plus.
• Technical proficiency in using recording software and in-game filming tools.
• Ability to take and apply constructive feedback professionally.
• May be required to work weekends as needed to meet business demands.
• A performance reel (live-action or virtual) is required for consideration (bonus points for game commentary performance reels).
