Assistant Cook

CCP is looking for a new team member to join the Cantina team who prepares ambitious meals for our CCP Reykjavik team of 250 employees.

The best fit would be someone who loves to cook and bake, has experience making food for larger groups and thrives for cooking and baking delicious food. Assistant Cook works under direct supervision of the head chef; assist in the preparation and serving of food in a cafeteria; maintain food service facilities and equipment in a sanitary condition; and do related work as required.

Major responsibilities include:

• Prepare, cook, and serve lunch 4x a week
• Prepare, cook and serve dinner 1x a week
• Assist in the kitchen as directed

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in quantity food preparation and kitchen maintenance
• Knowledge of sanitation requirements in food preparation and storage
• Knowledge of methods of preparing, cooking, and serving food
• Knowledge of the uses of kitchen utensils and equipment and the operation thereof
• Ability to work under direct supervision and cooperate with other staff personnel
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to assist in the preparation of various foods
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• Solid time management skills
• Strong communication skills

This is a 50% job ratio position. Working hours are following:

• Monday 10:00 – 14:00
• Tuesday 10:00 – 14:00
• Wednesday 10:00 – 14:00
• Thursday 11:00 – 19:00
• Friday´s are a day off
