Associate Corporate Counsel, Payments Commercial

As Legal Counsel on the Payments team, you will be a key advisor on a wide range of commercial matters, supporting the growth and expansion of Google's payment offerings across Europe and beyond. You'll leverage skills in discussing and drafting commercial agreements. Responsibilities include interpreting laws and compliance obligations for various teams, providing legal advice on compliance programs and policies, and managing government and regulator discussions regarding compliance efforts. This role requires experience in commercial transactions, drafting agreements, and ideally, cross-border transactions and familiarity with data privacy and payments industry regulations (e.g., PSD3, eIDAS, PISA). Excellent communication skills are essential for explaining legal issues to non-legal stakeholders. The role offers the opportunity to work on legal issues within a dynamic global technology company.
