As an Associate Creative Director (ACD) at Tag, you will lead a team of designers, copywriters, and content creators, steering the creative direction. Your responsibilities include guiding the team, nurturing fresh ideas, and delivering impactful work. You will be expected to develop content that blends creative visuals with strategic messaging, applying your knowledge of the client’s market and brand to create compelling visual designs and narratives. The role requires a hands-on professional with expertise in video and design, creating social-first ideas with organic content strategies across multiple platforms. You will also be responsible for pitching creative ideas to clients and staying updated on creative trends.
Must have:
  • 7+ years of creative experience in an agency setting, with at least 2 in a leadership role
  • A portfolio showcasing social-first campaigns
  • Expertise in concepting and executing across various channels
  • Deep experience with organic social strategy, execution, and optimization
  • A knack for balancing big ideas with real-world execution
  • Excellent communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience with dynamic content optimization (DCO) is a plus
  • A natural sense of humor is preferred.
  • Knowledge of memes is appreciated.

As our next Associate Creative Director (ACD), you’ll be steering the creative ship while keeping it fun. You'll work closely with Creative Leadership and lead a team of designers, copywriters, and content creators. Your job? Guide the team, nurture fresh ideas, and deliver the kind of work that makes jaws drop. 

This role requires strong expertise in video and design, with the ability to develop content (often social-forward) that seamlessly blends creative visuals with strategic, targeted messaging. A hands-on professional that applies advanced knowledge of the client’s market, brand, and strategies to craft compelling visual designs and narratives.  YOU MUST BE ABLE TO GET INTO OUR TORONTO, CANADA OFFICE 3 DAYS PER WEEK.

You'll: 

  • Conceptualize and develop killer creative for our super cool clients 

  • Leverage creative experience and advanced knowledge of visual design and development to stimulate innovative designs from ideation to execution and delivery 

  • Be able to lead designers, content creators, and writers to deliver craft and quality while also being able to jump in yourself 

  • Collaborate with account managers and social media managers to make sure the work is as strategic as it is beautiful 

  • Know the ins and outs of social media, get what the client wants, and use what’s trending on each platform to help create the next big viral moment 

  • Create social-first ideas with a deep understanding of organic content strategies across Meta (FB, IG), TikTok, YouTube, and X—making platform-native work that earns attention and engagement 

  • Adapt strong social concepts into larger 360° campaigns, expanding ideas across additional marketing channels and formats 

  • Pitch creative ideas to clients with flair (and a touch of magic) 

  • Stay on top of trends, platform evolutions, and creative technologies 

  • Mentor junior talent and build an environment where creativity thrives 

What you bring to the table: 

  • 7+ years of creative experience in an agency setting, with at least 2 in a leadership role 

  • A portfolio that makes us say "wow" and then "how do we do that?"—especially showcasing social-first campaigns 

  • Expertise in concepting and executing across channels—digital, print, video, social—you know it all, but you think in feed, swipe, and scroll 

  • Deep experience with organic social strategy, execution, and optimization on platforms including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and X 

  • A knack for balancing big ideas with real-world execution (yep, we need both) 

  • Excellent communication skills. You'll be presenting to clients, and we want you to have fun with it. 

  • The ability to thrive under pressure and turn tight deadlines into creative opportunities 

  • Experience with dynamic content optimization (DCO) a plus 

  • A leadership style that's inspiring, supportive, and a little fun
