The Associate Manager, Financial Control role involves preparing, developing, and analyzing financial information for senior management decision-making to ensure future stability and growth. Responsibilities include preparing month-end accounts, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, supporting external audits, adhering to internal controls, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires collaboration with various finance teams and requires excellent communication skills. The candidate should have minimum 4 years of accounting experience. The role interacts with Financial Controller, Group Reporting, Legal Entry Controllerhip teams and be a key member of the Finance CoE.
Must have:
  • Finance degree or professional institute finalist.
  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in core accounting transactions and consolidations.
  • Experience with financial control processes.
Good to have:
  • Hands on experience in Oracle Fusion/Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills in oral & written English.

Position Summary

The main responsibilities of this role will be preparing, developing and analysing financial information so that the London Stock Exchange Group’s senior management can make well-informed decisions, leading to future stability, growth, and profitability. The role focuses on core accounting skills, working within the FTSE division to support LSEG financial reporting. The selected candidate will be responsible in achieving Group objectives for the function, KPI’s and will be reporting to the Assistant Manager, Financial Control FTSE Russell.

Role Responsibilities

  • Preparation of month-end accounts close and support the review processes to ensure accuracy of P&L and Balance Sheet, and adherence to all Group reporting timelines.
  • Responsible for seamless on boarding of additional scope and aligning the process to according to the target operating model.
  • Ensure that the teams meet tight reporting timelines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
  • Review of Balance Sheet reconciliations and substantiations.
  • Support the external audit process for companies within scope including collaborating closely with the external auditors to address their questions and requests.
  • Adherence to internal controls as per group policies and the financial control framework.
  • Support Group projects and ensure flawless implementation of any new systems and processes.
  • Work collaboratively in identification and support of continuous improvement activities.
  • The role will interact with Financial Controller, Group Reporting, Legal Entry Controllerhip teams and be a key member of the Finance CoE.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Finance degree or a passed finalist of a recognised professional institute (CIMA/ACCA).
  • Minimum of 4 years accounting experience.
  • Consistent track record in processing core accounting transactions and consolidations to ensure balances are correctly reflected in the general ledger.
  • Financial control process including account reconciliations and substantiations.
  • Analysis, production, and delivery of reporting packs / schedules to represent financial performance.
  • Hands on experience in Oracle Fusion/Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management valuable.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages. Specially in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills in oral & written English.
  • Be a lead proponent in driving a collaborative culture to working across finance.
  • Adaptable to working in a constantly evolving environment to meet business priorities and timelines.
  • Strong process orientation, with ability to craft robust reporting frameworks.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues.
