Blue Yonder is seeking a motivated and proactive Associate Operational Excellence Engineer to join our team as we transform the world through our industry-leading cloud-based supply chain solutions. This role focuses on supporting the enhancement of our operational processes and tools, driving a DevOps culture, and ensuring continuous improvements in reliability and operational efficiency across various functional teams. Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in defining and executing high availability and disaster recovery test plans.
- Support the implementation and management of infrastructure change control processes.
- Help enhance on-call and engineer engagement processes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of common operational dashboards and widgets.
- Assist in establishing and enforcing guidelines for monitoring and alarming.
- Support the development and management of processes for reporting operational impacts.
- Help improve incident response processes and root cause analysis documentation.
- Assist in automating the collection of service maturity data to support continuous delivery promotions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a DevOps culture and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery concepts.
- Basic knowledge of infrastructure change control processes and tools.
- Familiarity with on-call management and paging tools like Opsgenie or Pager Duty.
- Basic understanding of monitoring, alarming, and operational dashboards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or project experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
- Familiarity with incident management tools and processes.
- Basic knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages.
