The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 2 years of professional photography experience (recent graduates considered), Matterport experience (training provided), proficiency with various software, strong data entry skills, independent work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors and weekends.

We’re currently seeking an Associate Photographer for a full-time opportunity in the Washington, D.C. area. This exciting role offers a dynamic blend of hands-on photography and travel, along with some in-office requirements.

As an Associate Photographer, you’ll be integral to the marketing efforts of residential and commercial properties by capturing high-quality images and creating immersive 3D virtual tours. You’ll work alongside a talented team in a fast-paced, independent environment, where your contributions will directly impact the success of marketing campaigns while also honing your photography skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Photography: Capture stunning images and 3D virtual tours that showcase homes, apartments, and commercial properties, using advanced photography techniques to highlight each space.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with scheduling and dispatch teams to ensure appointments are optimized and client needs are met efficiently.
  • Market Ownership: Navigate local commercial properties to ensure complete data coverage, identify new inventory, and fill in missing availability for properties.
  • Client Communication: Build strong relationships with clients, sales teams, and management to evaluate priorities and plan tasks strategically.
  • Safety and Representation: Uphold safety standards for company equipment and vehicles, while always presenting the client in a professional manner.
  • Ongoing Team Collaboration: Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams to ensure smooth task coordination and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Photography Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional photography experience is required, with field experience preferred. Recent photography graduates will also be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Matterport is a plus, though we provide training for qualified candidates. Proficiency with Windows, Apple OS, and Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Data Accuracy: Strong ability to capture and enter data accurately, with a willingness to learn commercial real estate terminology and mapping.
  • Independent Work Style: Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, independent work environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong time management skills and an eye for detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for long periods while driving, and stand or walk for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.
  • Frequent hand and arm movements for camera operation and typing on devices.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and carrying are necessary for tasks.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and drive in various seasons.
  • Willingness to work weekends on a rotating schedule.
