Associate Principal Engineer - Frontend Development

Summary:-

We are seeking a Technology Evangelist to lead full-stack development (JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Node) and drive product development aligned with Aristocrat’s roadmap. You’ll pilot new technologies, resolve stakeholder conflicts, and ensure alignment with goals. The role includes designing and maintaining slots and casino games, taking ownership of modules, mentoring junior team members, and presenting solutions. You’ll also identify risks, stay updated on trends, and collaborate with architects and product managers.

Role and Responsibilities:-

• 9-12 years’ experience working in enterprise grade software development processes with minimum 7+ years of experience in TypeScript / JavaScript. 

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript with a deep understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem

• Exceptional technical writing skills, adept at creating comprehensive technical documentation

• Ability to design and articulate complex technical solutions effectively

• Hands-on experience in developing client-side mobile and web applications and games

• Lead local technical architect team and provide technical guidance.

• Proficiency with continuous delivery, integration, and build technologies

• Working knowledge of Git, preferably with experience in GitLab

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)

• Working on end-to-end object-oriented design and development of application/product 

• Designing, coding, debugging and maintenance of Typescript. 

• Leading the development team and ensuring that they follow industry-standard best practices

• Good understanding of web optimization techniques

• Proficiency in modeling environments such as Unified Modeling Language (UML).

• Good programming skills along with development & debugging experience.

• Proficient problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach to development considering delivery deadlines and code quality

• Demonstrates high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 

• Able to grasp functional aspects well (quickly and with minimal guidance).

• work collaboratively with Global team/studio Leads for status updates, guidance and working as one team to deliver defined goals.

• Participation in after business hours calls as per business need.

• Comfortable in dynamic work environments with evolving priorities and context switching

• Possesses a keen business acumen and recognizes the significance of ROI

What We're Looking For

• B.Tech. / B.E. / MCA /MTech. in Computer Science with 10+ years of experience in software development. 

• Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience with Angular , jQuery, HTML5, JavaScript, Typescript.

• Require a minimum of 5 years of experience with OOPs 

• Experience with an Agile development methodology, preferably Scrum.

• Must have strong communication skills, able to work with team.

• Good inter-personal skills. Should be able to mentor and motivate others.

• Working experience with Typescript, JavaScript

• Prior experience in the mobile/web gaming industry is a plus

• Experience working with Google Cloud is a plus

• Experience with an Agile development methodology, preferably Scrum

• Prior experience with PixiJS/Cocos2d-x/Phaser/CreateJS HTML5 game development framework
