Cloudhead Games is the veteran VR studio behind the multi-award winning titles, Pistol Whip, an action-rhythm shooter (GOTY, DICE Awards) and the fantasy adventure series, The Gallery (GOTY, VR Awards.) Cloudhead has partnered multiple times with industry legend Valve to create tech demos, with the most notable being Aperture Hand Lab, a humorous Valve Index controller demo set in the Portal Universe. Always innovating, Cloudhead is also known for its early solutions in VR locomotion/comfort with snap turns and teleportation, as well as VR motion capture and hand interactions.


Cloudhead Games is a fully remote company working Pacific Time Zone hours.


As an Associate Producer at Cloudhead Games, you will work closely with the Production and Game Dev team to own project scope and scheduling. You’re great with analytics and reporting to make sure our stakeholders are up-to-date on where a project is at. You’re comfortable working on multiple projects, and enjoy the creativity of being on a smaller team.


What you will do:


  • Generate visibility to the Producer, the Game Director and the project leaders on the progress of your team. The objective is to allow the team to make the right decisions to improve the content and adapt the scope
  • Partner with the producers and project leadership team to create and manage development schedules for features, milestones, or releases
  • Manage the scope and capacity of the team throughout the project life cycle while ensuring the quality of deliverables
  • Generate and present project status reports for key project stakeholders and the management team
  • Analyze results of sprints and milestones, and proposed refinements to the production process to help the team execute at the highest level
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, especially the VR market, as well as best practices related to project management
  • Oversee different projects depending on the scope of each of them


What you will bring:


  • 2+ years of experience in game development, or demonstrable experience with a production team in a professional IT environment
  • Knowledge of project management software like Jira/Confluence, Office Suite or Google Suite
  • Understanding of the agile values and mentality
  • Excellent time management, organization, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective decision-making, critical thinking and problem resolution skills


Nice to have:


  • Scrum Master certification or similar project management certification
  • Shipped a game in this role
  • Familiarity with development using Unity3D
  • Knowledge of the game industry in general, especially in the VR/AR field

As we better understand your skillset, it may be determined that your experience aligns more with a higher or lower level of seniority. We will always try to be proactive in communication with applicants about where they might fall in a seniority band. 


The salary range for this position is CAD $60k-$80k.
