As an Associate Product Manager on Episode you’ll work on a game that has defined interactive storytelling for a female audience, with a mission to build YOU-driven experiences where authors can create immersive stories and players can be who they want to be. You’ll own and manage critical aspects of the Episode product which will be seen by millions of people around the world.
What You’ll Do
- Own and manage critical aspects of the Episode product which will be seen by millions of people around the world each week
- Take part in the product development, strategic vision, and business operations as it pertains to the development of Episode stories
- Become an expert in understanding customers, operating a top performing live game, and building engaging features that make everyone excited to engage with Episode stories
What You Bring to the Product Management Team:
- 2+ years of experience in one of the following:
- Online / Mobile Product or Analytics experience with a technology company
- Previous startup, social networking, engineering / software development experience
- Strategy / management consulting or finance (banking, PE, or VC)
- Passion for the entertainment or games industry
- Ability to refine hypotheses/models by digging into user data
- Excitement about coordinating and inspiring our cross discipline teams.
- Experience in quantitative analysis and ability to refine hypotheses/models by digging into user data and iteratively improve metrics
- Design mentality and intuition for user experience in entertainment products and games
- Ability to understand good story structure
- Ability to write clear and concise specs for new features
- Ability to manage complex projects and production schedules
Extra Gems For:
- B.S. / M.S.in a quantitative/technical discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Economics, Data Science, etc.) and/or MBA
- Being a fan of Episode and our community
- Specific experience in any of the following:
- Interactive story games
- Startup experience
- Engineering/software development
- A/B testing
The range provided below is Pocket Gems’ reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. In addition, this position is eligible for annual performance bonuses and equity.
Pocket Gems also has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position is eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with Matching, Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and Wellness Programs.
Please note that this information is only provided publicly for candidates in California, Washington, Colorado, and New York, but the role is open to candidates in Texas and Massachusetts as well.
Pay Range
$111,000 — $145,000 USD
