Job Description

As an Associate QA Engineer at PlaySimple Games, you will be the first audience for their games, testing for bugs, glitches, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable player experience. You will be responsible for creating and executing both manual and automated test cases, reporting issues and risks in a timely and detailed manner, and collaborating with the engineering team to resolve bugs. You will need to be able to determine the root cause of issues and come up with systematic test plans and checklists. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys pushing games to their limits and thrives on finding and solving problems.

Must have:

Test for bugs and glitches in the software
Create and execute manual and automated test cases
Communicate issues, risks, and test status
Determine root cause of issues found
Promote open and collaborative relations
Test games/features for any defects
Come up with systematic test plans and checklists
Report defects to the engineering team

Good to have:

Experience with social or mobile gaming platforms
Excellent management skills for multiple projects
Experience with automated scripts for testing
Independent problem-solving and QA challenges

Requirements

As the game’s first audience - test for bugs in the software, from complete crashes to minor glitches in the programme. (Create and execute manual and automated test cases for assigned feature)
Communicate issues, risks and test status in a timely and detailed manner
Ability to determine root cause of issues found
You promote open, constructive and collaborative relations with superiors,subordinates and peers to achieve the best results
Testing the games/features for any defects
Come up with systematic test plan and recurring testing checklists
Report defects to the engineering team

What we are looking for

You were involved with such a role at a previous organization, preferably linked to social or mobile gaming platforms.
You can exhibit excellent management skills when it comes to multiple projects or people from different functions.
You have spent time maneuvering across automated scripts to test different scenarios
You are able to independently take initiative to solve problems and QA challenges
You are self-driven to thrill and entertain our players and constantly benchmark quality to delight customers.
You demonstrate experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
