Job Description

As an Associate Software Developer at Anthology, you will collaborate closely with Integration Analysts to define software requirements and develop enterprise-level data solutions on the Azure platform. Responsibilities include implementing CI/CD practices, conducting root cause analysis for integration issues, providing development support (including off-hours), managing multiple projects, ensuring deliverable quality, and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. You'll work across all development phases, from gathering requirements to post-implementation support, and share knowledge through technical presentations. The role requires strong C#, ASP.NET, MVC, REST, and SQL skills, along with experience in Test-Driven Development and technical support.
Must have:
  • 0-2 years exp. in application development (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, REST, SQL)
  • Understanding of SDLC phases, OOD, REST API development, HTTP
  • Test-Driven Development experience
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills
  • Experience in diagnosing and resolving production incidents
  • Solid TSQL knowledge (stored procedures)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Good to have:
  • Microsoft .NET Developer Certification
  • HTML5/CSS/REACT/JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge
  • Agile and Scrum experience

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Interacting closely with Integration Analysts to understand software requirements
  • Developing enterprise-level data ingestion and consumption solutions to meet business needs in Azure platform
  • Implementing continuous integration and DevOps practices
  • Conducting root cause analysis on integration support incidents
  • Working in a highly collaborative environment to solve challenging technical and business problems
  • Providing development support and assistance for customer escalations and issues, including off-hours
  • Multi-tasking many projects effectively
  • Owning quality and accountability of deliverables
  • Prioritizing and scheduling assignments to meet team deadlines and goals
  • Working in all aspects of development including (but not limited to) gathering requirements, development of technical components related to process scope, and supporting testing and post implementation support
  • Sharing knowledge through technical presentations
 
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
  • 0-2 years of experience in application development in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, REST and SQL
  • Good understanding of all SDLC Phases including Object-Oriented Design and Programming, REST API development, HTTP standards
  • Experience developing applications using a Test-Driven Development approach
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem solving capabilities and ability to work with a team to accomplish a task
  • Experience in technical support including diagnosing and resolving production incidents and determining the root cause and associated long term resolution for those incidents
  • Solid knowledge of TSQL with the development of stored procedures
  • Comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in an extremely dynamic environment, initiating necessary tasks and ensuring complete follow up
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
 
Preferred skills/qualifications:
  • Microsoft .NET Developer Certification
  • Development knowledge of HTML5/CSS/REACT/JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Agile and SCRUM experience
