What we need:

This position will require working closely with our Production and Management teams in Valencia and San Mateo. We are looking for someone who is motivated and passionate about making high quality games. In this position, you will be at the forefront of leading the Production Dev. Team in the studio in Valencia and working side by side with the studio in San Mateo.

Responsibilities:

  • Together with the Studio Manager/Director, look after all studio operations, including employee support, facilities and production needs, to ensure that the studio has the appropriate level of process, equipment and resources to effectively operate while maintaining product development efficiency.
  • Oversee the development of the organization's strategic goals, objectives, and mission.
  • Work directly with development managers/leads/directors to successfully manage development cycles and ensure they follow Project Management and Communication best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the San Mateo studio to balance dependencies, deliverables, and output targets, as well as to foster the collaboration and connection between teams across locations.
  • Map out workflows, identifying the pain points and bottlenecks, and implement solutions to eliminate waste, reduce errors, and increase productivity. Proactively apply solutions to blockers.
  • Help troubleshoot and balance resources based in project needs.
  • Analyze the current state of the business in order to improve performance and efficiency across the studio.
  • Identify and implement standard processes and pipelines to improve team effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the Studio Manager/Director to maintain regular updates and help resolve potential challenges.
  • Lead efforts to develop mentoring plans to foster growth and build teams to achieve goals.
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees, as needed.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the studio. Ensure that business actions adhere to current legislation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of the operational plans.
  • Foster the company's culture, values, and corporate policies, ensuring a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Coordinate community social responsibility initiatives with the WEX/Ops teams.
  • Conceive and implement programs to evaluate the well-being and effectiveness of the team.
  • Promote the success of the studio and the project.
  • Ability to partner across a global organization.

Who will be a great fit:

  • Needs to have excellent management and team leadership capabilities.
  • Need to have strong problem-solving skills, cross functional collaboration. An eye for Business processes optimization and change agility are key.
  • Has a wide knowledge about how a AAA video game is made and knows what needs to happen when.
  • Demonstrated 8+ years of experience in the AAA gaming industry including production leadership.
  • Has a deep understanding of production pipelines, asset tracking, and project management practices and tools.
  • Strong work ethic with exceptional communication skills.
  • Fluent English and Spanish, both speech and in writing.
  • Proactive and able to have a flexible work schedule.
  • Knowledge of art, design, engineering workflows and game engines is a plus but not required.
