We are looking for:

Currently we are looking for experienced A2s to work on live corporate events, onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, WA, and Austin, TX. This role works on a per-project basis. Sometimes projects are one day, sometimes longer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the A1, Director, Producer, and / or client to understand the sound requirements of each production.
  • Lead the organization, distribution, and tracking of all wireless microphones, before, during, and after the event, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Work closely with A1s and presenters to properly position body-worn microphones.
  • Manage all on-stage audio needs, when appropriate
  • Manage all wireless intercom needs, including programming beltpacks, ensuring all equipment is working properly, and that users have exactly what they need
  • Run and patch cables, when appropriate
  • Understand and troubleshoot loudspeakers, when needed.
  • Follow the run-of-show document to ensure smooth show flow.
  • Coordinate with other crew members to execute audio elements before and during shows.
  • Conduct rehearsals, working closely with the A1 to ensure all their needs are met.
  • Take direction from the stage manager or show caller to ensure all cues are executed as intended.
  • Perform sound checks before every performance to guarantee optimal audio quality.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as an A2, preferably for large or high profile events.
  • Experience in live event corporate settings, working with high level talent is a must.
  • Comfortable working closely with others; often placing microphones requires close contact with the talent.
  • Experience with audio technologies including but not limited to Shure Wireless Workbench and Microphones and Sennheiser EM9000 Wireless Microphones.
  • Good situational awareness, as often high profile individuals need attention from the A2 to test and replace microphones.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.
  • Ability to program microphone systems, and other audio equipment effectively.
  • Good understanding of audio transport standards such as Dante, MADI, and Twinlane.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to rapid show-flow changes in a live and fluid environment.
  • Excellent control room demeanor, proven leadership skills, team-first attitude and the ability to handle pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to interface with both technical and creative members of the event production ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to take a service-oriented approach to this position, with a desire to help clients achieve their best result.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Advanced Systems Group LLC, we strive to provide equitable and competitive compensation. Pay is determined by a candidate’s skills, expertise, experience, and the location where the work is being performed. For this role, our current pay ranges for new hires in each geographic territory are:

Los Angeles and San Francisco: $65 - 85

Austin, TX: $58 - 76

Seattle, WA: $50 - 65
