Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg seeks an experienced Automotive Workshop Supervisor (Kfz-Meister preferred) to lead a team of automotive technicians. Responsibilities encompass managing daily maintenance and repair of Tesla's passenger and heavy vehicle fleets (forklifts, boom lifts, etc.), overseeing parts inventory, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, implementing preventative maintenance strategies, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with experience in managing budgets and teams. Proficiency in German and English is essential.

- The Technical Services department at Gigafactory Berlin is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the performance of Tesla's vehicle fleet, as well as the Technical Services heavy vehicle fleet.
- We are seeking an experienced Automotive Workshop Supervisor to lead a team of automotive technicians and mechanics responsible for maintaining and repairing Tesla's fleet of passenger cars (PKW) and Technical Services heavy vehicles (including forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts).
- The ideal candidate will be a qualified Kfz-Meister (Master Automotive Technician) with strong leadership and management experience.
- Lead and manage a team of automotive technicians and mechanics, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Schedule, assign, and oversee day-to-day maintenance and repair activities, ensuring optimal team productivity and job quality.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of Tesla's passenger vehicle fleet and the Technical Services heavy vehicle fleet (forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, etc.).
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with manufacturer specifications and internal guidelines.
- Manage the ordering, inventory, and availability of spare parts, working with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of parts usage and inventory levels to optimize costs and reduce downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Implement preventative maintenance strategies to maximize fleet availability and longevity while minimizing unexpected downtime.
- Continuously evaluate maintenance processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges and ensure the smooth running of workshop activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repair work, inspections, and compliance checks.
- Provide regular reports and updates on fleet status, workshop performance, and key metrics to management.
- Promote and enforce safe working practices, ensuring all technicians adhere to safety protocols and standards.
- Kfz-Meister (Master Automotive Technician) certification.
- Proven experience in managing a team of automotive technicians/mechanics.
- Strong background in the maintenance and repair of passenger vehicles and heavy vehicles (forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage spare parts inventory and work within a budget.
- Knowledge of local safety regulations and standards applicable to automotive workshops.
- Proficiency in German and English.
