Job Description

VAM Systems is seeking an AWS Solutions Architect for their Bahrain operations. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining AI-driven systems integrated with cloud platforms, building and deploying machine learning and large language models, and implementing scalable cloud-native architectures. The architect will also develop and optimize automated data pipelines, build microservices and APIs, and ensure robust MLOps practices while adhering to security and compliance standards.

Bachelor’s in CS/IT/Engineering
AWS Certified Solutions Architect & AWS Development expert
TensorFlow or equivalent AI/ML certification
Arabic and English speaker
8 years of experience
Expertise in Deep learning, reinforcement learning, LLMs, Generative AI
Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face
Strong experience in API-first development (REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI)
Expertise in AWS services (IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, SageMaker, ECS/EKS)
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures
Skills in building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL, SQL/NoSQL, Big Data frameworks
Proficiency in DevOps/MLOps practices (CI/CD, Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, ML flow, Kubeflow)
Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, data encryption, and compliance standards (Bahrain NCSC/IGA, ISO 27001, ISO 42001)
Experience with microservices-based architectures and scalable cloud-native systems
Agile/Scrum delivery experience
Strong documentation, communication, and mentoring skills

Job Description

VAM Systems is currently looking for AWS Solutions Architect for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:

Qualification:

Bachelor’s in CS/IT/Engineering
AWS Certified Solutions Architect & AWS Development expert.
TensorFlow or equivalent AI/ML certification
Arabic and English speaker

Years of experience : 8 Years

Expert with

AI/ML Competencies

Deep learning, reinforcement learning, and large language models (LLMs). Generative AI (LLMs fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or AWS Kendra).
Computer Vision (OpenCV, AWS Rekognition).
Natural Language Processing (Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy).

Programming & Frameworks

Python as a primary language.
Proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face.
Strong experience in API-first development (REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI).

Cloud Platforms

AWS (IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, SageMaker, ECS/EKS).
Familiarity with Azure AI/ML services.
Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Serverless and event-driven architectures (SNS/SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Data Engineering & Governance

Building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Big Data frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop, AWS EMR).
Data governance, quality assurance, and audit readiness.

DevOps/MLOps

CI/CD pipelines and versioning (Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline). Automated testing, model deployment, and monitoring.
ML lifecycle management (ML flow, Kubeflow).

Security & Compliance

Cloud security groups, identity and access management, and data encryption. Compliance with Bahrain NCSC/IGA standards, and awareness of ISO standards (ISO 27001, ISO 42001).
Logging, monitoring, and explain ability of AI models for regulatory audits.

Architecture & Design

Microservices-based architectures.
Scalable, high-availability, and secure cloud-native systems.
System documentation and knowledge transfer

Project & Collaboration

Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
Strong documentation, communication, and mentoring skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal developers and transfer knowledge effectively.

Responsibilities:

AI/ML Development & Deployment

Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven systems integrated with cloud platforms.
Build, train, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning and large language models (LLMs) for customs and business use cases.
Ensure robust MLOps practices (model monitoring, retraining, version control).

Cloud Architecture & System Development

Implement and manage scalable cloud-native architectures (primarily AWS, with exposure to Azure).
Develop and optimize automated data pipelines ensuring high data quality, governance, and reliability.
Build microservices and APIs for seamless integration with existing systems and third-party applications.
Adhere to Customs, Ministry of Interior, and Government of Bahrain UI/UX standards in application design (layout, accessibility, and navigation).
