Job Description

A Singapore-based bank seeks a Senior Back Office & Accounting System Analyst for its core Treasury IT team. The role involves delivering strategic projects and tactical changes for the bank's treasury division, encompassing Commodities, Credit Derivatives, FXD, IRD, FX, MM, and Fixed Income products across various global locations. Responsibilities include analyzing and managing business requirements, designing solutions, conducting user requirement workshops, modeling transactions, proposing solutions for business issues, capturing and documenting business requirements, collaborating with IT teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and coordinating testing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of back-office and accounting concepts related to treasury products and have proven stakeholder management skills.

Must have:

5+ years in financial industry on treasury products
Strong understanding of Back office & Accounting concepts
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Proven stakeholder management skills
Analyze and manage business requirements

Good to have:

Experience with Murex (v3)
Understanding of Front to back Trade Life Cycle
Understanding of Accounting Schemas

Project description

Bank in Singapore is looking for an experienced business analyst for the core Treasury IT team to support the bank's treasury division for the business with Commodities, Credit Derivatives, FXD, IRD, FX, MM, Fixed Income products in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and its overseas branches across the globe.

The Business analyst role is responsible for the delivery of strategic projects or tactical changes for the bank's treasury division. The role is expected to work with Business Finance and Operations users, Development Leads and project managers. The candidate is also expected to function as a member of the Back office & Accounting stream and ensure that all developments and requirements are delivered and tested within the committed timelines.

Responsibilities

Analyse and manage business requirements into a solution design, managing user requirements workshops and formulation of an overall solution design, modelling transactions through the system to ensure that the business requirements are met.

Hands-on business analysis role to analyse and propose solutions for business issues, process changes and functional requirements.

Capturing, specifying and documenting business requirements for implementation for the Back Office and Accounting stream

Work with different IT teams across infrastructure, and other divisions to deliver system solutions for the business.

Collaborate with stakeholders on their priorities, needs as well as system improvements.

Build a strong relationship and manage expectations with users and stake holders.

Coordinate and validate Back office and Accounting stream testing and test cases during UATs

Skills

Must have

Minimum 5 years' experience working in the financial industry on treasury products with relevant experience in business analysis and project implementation

Strong understanding of Back office & Accounting concepts of below treasury products:

FX Derivatives, IR Derivatives, EQ Derivatives

FX Cash, Fixed Income and Money market

Commodities

Effective team player with excellent communication & inter-personal skills.

Strong problem solver who can question and understand proposed solutions and business drivers.

Proven stakeholder management skills in interactions with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels

Nice to have

Experience working with MUREX (v3) on: o XVA/ PFE Engine o Static Data

Counterparty, Bonds, Ratings o Accounting Rules/ Filters / EOD o Simple/Dynamic/Formula Accounts o Trade Booking o Datamart Reports

Understanding of Front to back Trade Life Cycle

Understanding of Accounting Schemas for various asset class

Strong technical background
