Job Description
Smilegate Entertainment is seeking an experienced Background Artist to contribute to the development and management of game IPs and global entertainment content. Responsibilities include creating key visuals, concept sketches, and artwork for game backgrounds. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to create visually appealing designs ranging from semi-realistic to realistic styles. Proficiency in utilizing AI and rough sketches for rapid ideation is crucial. The role requires collaboration with a team, excellent communication skills, and the ability to produce artwork suitable for 3D modeling. Experience with AI-driven art creation and a passion for game development are highly valued. Speed painting skills are a plus. The position is based at the Smilegate campus in Seongnam, South Korea.
