Job Description

Gamemode One is seeking a Bedrock Programmer for a Summer 2025 co-op (1 term, possible extension) open to Acadia and Dalhousie University students. You will leverage your typed programming language skills to develop clean, scalable features for their next Minecraft IP. Collaboration with art and VFX teams to implement functionality, support version control and PR workflows, optimize and debug systems, and provide project feedback are key responsibilities. This role offers exposure to agile development and contributes directly to the engineering advancements within Gamemode One.

Must Have:

Typed programming language knowledge
Collaboration skills
Debugging and optimization skills
Version control and PR workflow experience

The Opportunity

In our growing organization, you'll bring your knowledge of typed programming languages to craft clean and scalable features for our next IP experience in Minecraft! You'll collaborate with the art and VFX team to bring functionality to their assets. You’ll also support in maintaining our versioning and PR workflow, as well as optimizing and debugging our systems.

During this role you will learn how to work in an agile environment with a dynamic development team. You’ll provide feedback to the greater project - helping the team develop the next great product in our portfolio! You will not just be working at a great company, but actively pushing forward engineering at Gamemode One.
