We are seeking a Benefits and Compensation Manager to join our People Operations Team. This role will be a key contributor in managing and administering our company’s compensation plans and will also play a critical part in compensation analysis, salary budgeting, and benefits management. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent. This position will ensure that our programs are strategic, market-aligned, and in compliance with applicable regulations. This is a full-time role based in Lehi, Utah reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

What is a day in the life of a Benefits and Compensation Manager?

  • Administer the company’s compensation plans, including a future Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), overseeing enrollment, contributions, and employee communications.

  • Ensure ESPP compliance with applicable laws and regulations in partnership with Finance, Payroll, and Legal.

  • Analyze ESPP participation rates and trends, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing plan participation.

  • Develop and deliver training sessions and communication materials to educate employees about the ESPP program, ensuring a clear understanding of plan benefits.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to the ESPP, addressing questions and providing guidance.

  • Conduct regular market research and compensation benchmarking to ensure salary structures are competitive and aligned with industry standards.

  • Evaluate new roles and positions, ensuring that salary budgets are set near the top of the market during the annual budgeting process.

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Finance to ensure accurate salary budgeting for new and existing roles during the annual planning cycle.

  • Prepare and analyze compensation data, generating reports to support decisions on employee raises, promotions, and pay equity adjustments.

  • Assist in the design and implementation of compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and equity-based compensation.

  • Maintain accurate records for compensation and benefits data, ensuring compliance with all internal controls and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports to provide HR leadership with insights into compensation trends, pay equity, and benefits program effectiveness.

  • Conduct audits of compensation and benefits data to ensure data integrity and compliance.

  • Develop communication materials and resources that help employees understand their total compensation and benefits packages.

  • Partner with HR colleagues to provide training sessions on compensation practices, salary structures, and benefits programs.

  • Ensure transparency and clarity around compensation and benefits, helping employees feel informed and valued.

What will I need to thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation and benefits analysis, with a strong focus on managing ESPP and equity-based programs.

  • Experience in compensation planning, including salary budgeting, market analysis, and pay equity.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, (Workday experience preferred), and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Legal.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
