Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Body Repair Technician (Panel Beater) in Oakleigh, Australia to join its groundbreaking Body Repair Program. Responsibilities include performing structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla vehicles (Model S, X, and 3) adhering to Tesla's repair procedures. This involves using specialized equipment like Celette Frame Jigs, welding (MIG), gluing, riveting, and replacing various vehicle components including body panels, suspension parts, and structural elements. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair, proficiency in MIG welding, and experience with aluminum repairs and heavy damage. Additional skills such as I-CAR Australia Welding certification and knowledge of prestige vehicle repairs are advantageous. The role demands a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Must have:

3+ years automotive collision repair experience
Proficient in MIG welding
Aluminum repair experience
Structural repair expertise
Teamwork and organization skills

Good to have:

I-CAR Australia Welding certification
Experience with prestige vehicles
Collision/Body Repair certificate

What You’ll Do

Perform Structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla Model S, Model X, and Model 3 vehicles in accordance with Tesla-specific Repair procedures
Use Celette Frame Jigs for setting New Structural Components
Glue, Rivet, and Weld structural components being replaced
Repair exterior cosmetic panels via Metal Finishing and body filler
Replace all parts associated with collision repair including body panels, suspension parts, vehicle structure, Radiators, Airbags and Trim
Proficient in MIG Welding
Follow Standards and work in Teams
