Job Description
Tesla's Body Repair Program seeks a Vehicle Detailer in Auckland to join its team. Responsibilities include performing entry-level inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles, operating various hand and power tools, maintaining records, ordering supplies, supporting journeymen technicians, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair, detailing skills (wet sanding, polishing, buffing, waxing), knowledge of basic automotive repair techniques, and a willingness to learn advanced technologies. The role requires attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and effective record-keeping.
Must have:
- 3+ years automotive collision repair experience

- Teamwork & effective record-keeping
Good to have:
- Retail automotive service experience

What You’ll Do- 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair
- Performs entry-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
- Perform equipment inspections and adjustments
- Maintain records of time and materials
- May order shop supplies and parts as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Help maintain vehicle cleanliness of customer cars
- Support journeymen technicians as needed
- Knowledge of: Methods, techniques for detailing vehicles - wet sand, polish, buff , wax, etc.
- Efficient skills in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new and advanced automotive technologies
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Perform detailed, daily record keeping and reporting
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
- Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
- Retail automotive service experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
