Job Description

Tesla's Body Repair Vehicle Detailer in Oakleigh, Australia, will perform entry-level work in inspecting, repairing, and servicing Tesla electric vehicles. Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, performing equipment inspections and adjustments, maintaining records, ordering supplies, supporting journeymen technicians, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. The role requires 3+ years of automotive collision repair experience, knowledge of detailing techniques (wet sanding, polishing, buffing, waxing), and proficiency in basic automotive repair. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a willingness to learn new technologies, and effective teamwork skills. This is a full-time position opening in Q3 2024, and it's a part of Tesla's groundbreaking Body Repair Program focused on innovation and sustainability.
Must have:
  • 3+ years automotive collision repair experience
  • Detailing knowledge (wet sand, polish, buff, wax)
  • Proficient in basic automotive repair techniques
  • Ability to follow instructions, attention to detail
  • Teamwork and record-keeping skills

What You’ll Do
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair 
  • Performs entry-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles 
  • Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools 
  • Perform equipment inspections and adjustments 
  • Maintain records of time and materials 
  • May order shop supplies and parts as required 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 
  • Help maintain vehicle cleanliness of customer cars 
  • Support journeymen technicians as needed 
  • Knowledge of: Methods, techniques for detailing vehicles - wet sand, polish, buff , wax, etc. 
  • Efficient skills in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles

  • Perform detailed, daily record keeping and reporting

  •  Retail automotive service experience is a plus 
  • Valid driver’s license
